Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Crossroads Alliance Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Crossroads Alliance Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as church cleaning, serving coffee and donuts, preparing the church bulletin, to being on the prayer ministry team.

Prison Ministry

In Matthew 25 Jesus admonishes us as believers to visit those in prison.  For the past ten years Pastor Stock and a team from the church have been conducting a Bible study every week at FCI Loretto.  Also on the second Sunday of every month the Crossroads team conducts the worship service there as well, with Pastor preaching the Word.  Crossroads worship team leading the worship and a prayer ministry team praying for the needs of those who are there.

 Men’s Ministry

The Men’s group is a fellowship of Christian men who come together bi-monthly in a non-judgmental atmosphere to discuss and learn what the Bible has to say about the issues we as men face in our lives.  We’ve seen people set free, healed, and delivered of sins and addictions.  We laugh, we cry, but most of all we come together in love for one another to uplift and encourage each other in what we call “The Brotherhood of Life”.

Youth Group

The Crossroads Alliance Youth Group meets every Sunday evening at 6 pm.  We have a bible lesson each wee and fun activities as well, such as, lock-in’s, going for pizza, attending Christian concerts, and teen conferences etc.  Our goal is to help our teens find their own relationship with Jesus Christ.

Music
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments.  Others are involved in the praise team.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of  Crossroads Alliance Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Ushers

The usher team at Crossroads Alliance Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Prayer Chain

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Crossroads Alliance Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty.  Throughout the week, volunteers of our Prayer team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.  Each Sunday at 6 PM, the church comes together for a special time of prayer.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Crossroads Alliance holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

VBS

Each summer, Crossroads Alliance Church hosts vacation bible school. The three days to week-long event involves games, a lot of preaching, great food, good worship, and the intentional influence of VBS counselors. The VBS counselors are selected, screened, and trained for this important VBS ministry. They find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both children and counselors grow in the process.  We always end VBS with a picnic on the church grounds.
